Your tour begins at the main entrance of the Mutianyu Great Wall, where you’ll take a short shuttle ride—approximately 500 meters—to the helipad. We offer two flight routes: Route A covers the entire Mutianyu Great Wall open to visitors, from Dajiao Tower at the southern end to the large “Be Loyal to Chairman Mao” characters in the north. The round trip is about 30 km, with a flight time of approximately 15 minutes. Route B includes the full Mutianyu section and extends to the wild Jiankou Great Wall (not open to tourists). The round trip is about 45 km, with a flight time of approximately 22 minutes. You’ll board a Robinson R44 helicopter, a mature and widely trusted model known for its stability and reliability. The aircraft offers three comfortable passenger seats, allowing you to enjoy clear panoramic views through its wide windows. Once in the air, your pilot will take you toward the Great Wall and ascend to roughly 100 meters above the ancient structure. From this height, you can admire the Wall’s curves, watchtowers, and surrounding mountains in stunning detail—close enough to even see hikers making their way along the steps.
